I'll reintroduce myself. I'm a long-time listserv lurker and the line manager for Records Management at a not-for-profit contract Scientific Research Institute. I am trying to scope out the hotel situation in Chicago and have found it a bit puzzling since I have never been to the windy city. I know there is a Hyatt at the Conference Center Complex but it's a 10 minute indoor walk (half mile?) so the shuttle from the ARMA hotels might be a better choice. I'm not quite sold on the conference hotels yet (detail people have to be thorough you know).

My only major requirements are a clean and quiet room with good A/C and a nearby drugstore considering my routine travel misadventures. Are there any windy city folks out there who have some advice regarding comparable hotels near the conference hotels? Can anyone speak to the difference between the two conference hotels and their pluses/minuses? I am still poking around some of the hotel rating sites but l am looking for insight from the records folks who are usually right on target.
