And another consideration is geographic location.  Large metropolitan 
centers, like NY, DC, and Chicago will cost more than in regions where 
real estate is cheaper. Pineville will likely be less than Houston or 
Baton Rouge. As Earl mentioned, volume, both initial and proposed future 
storage will play key roles in determining cost. As will type and 
frequency of retrievals. 

If you haven't already done so, pay a visit to the storage facility. Look 
carefully at their security, environmental controls, conduct of employees. 
If anything raises questions, ask. Inquire about scenarios for lost 
records, delayed retrievals, and any other snafus you can imagine. The 
vendor should have policies and practices in place to address these issues 
and should answer them confidently.
