I think that I'm just going to point everyone to Yelp.com. Once you are there, you can search in a number of ways. The particular neighborhoods that you want to select will be South Loop and Loop if you plan to walk from the hotels. Pay attention to the number of review... the higher, the better... Yelp is really social media at its best when a lot of people comment. Throw out the high scores and the low scores and look for common themes.

Yelp also works for tours and museums if you want a quick review of something.
