Colleagues,

This may be the esoteric question of the day--perhaps of the week.

Does anyone on this list know of any vendors in the vicinity of Houston that de-silver X-rays and microfilm?

Harris County has both X-rays and microfilm that must be destroyed. Some of the microfilm hasn't even been exposed but is beyond its use-by date. Heretofore we have had this type of media de-silvered but this year our Purchasing Agent has been unable to find anyone to submit a proposal.

In addition, one of our departments also has several pounds of silver flakes accumulated over the years by its microfilming section. The contract would include the purchase of this silver.

Responses may be to the List or to me directly.
