It might perhaps have been more accurate to say that they will have a
different vision about what constiutes effective enforcement. I'll not
take a position here about which of the two parties has a better vision
of effective oversight of the financial services industry, or which
would make for stronger or better rulemaking. I merely observe that
those two visions are very different; and rulemaking by the agencies
will very much reflect the vision of the party and candidate that wins
the election.
