I am developing a list of tips for our staff for reducing incoming
email. Please add to this list any tips that you may have:

1. Send the email only to the person(s) who needs it.

*	Don't send it to an entire group if the entire group doesn't
need to receive it.
*	Don't "cc" people who don't need to receive it.
*	Don't "Reply to All" unless "all" need to see the reply.

2. Don't forward chain emails. 

If you know someone who continually forwards chain emails to you, send
them an anonymous notice via www.stopforwarding.com.

3. Don't send an email if a phone call will do.

*	"Want to go to lunch?"

4. Unsubscribe from unwanted lists.

5. Block unwanted senders.

6. Create "disposable" email accounts that you can use for registering
for things.

7. Try other types of systems for communication where appropriate, ex:
instant messaging, Twitter.
