Hi Raymond,

Congrats on the interview!

In order to really help, I think we'd need to understand who you will be
interviewing with and a bit about the scope of the job. Are you
interviewing with a fellow RM, an univ administrator ...? Is this for the
head RM job, or a supporting role?

In general, you can expect to be given scenario-based questions and be
expected to share your past experience dealing with that issue/challenge,
or at minimum describe what you *would* do if you haven't ever done it
before.

If it is a senior role, it may be things like:

   - What are some proven methods for getting various departments -
who operate in silos and want nothing to do with RM - to comply with the
retention schedule or other RM procedures?
   - We are struggling with how to handle email. Based on what you know
about our environment and/or based on past experience/best practices, what
   are your thoughts?
   - We need to dramatically reduce the cost of offsite storage. How can
   we accomplish this?

If it is more of a supporting role, you might run into questions like:

   - Describe a time when a record request came in that you couldn't
fulfill because the file could not be located. How did you handle the
situation and what was the end result?
   - Tell me about your experience with maintaining citations in a
   retention schedule.
   - Describe the kinds of filing systems you have worked with (terminal
   digit, alphanumeric, etc.).

I hope this is at least mildly helpful, and wish you success in your RM
career!

Julie
