I must warn you that it has been a few years since I used Trim 4.x. I seem to recall that what you are describing is a function of Trim's report designer. Tag the records you wish to include and then the option to generate a report is available. Trim reports may be print or 'exported' to a tab delimited or .csv file format.
Try searching the Trim help files for topics related to 'report designer' or 'import/export'.
