Yes, the Keynote Speaker has been selected for the 2013 ARMA Houston Conference being held at the Norris Conference Center, CityCentre Houston, April 23-24...
Jason R. Baron, Director of Litigation, NARA: "Meeting the "Go Digital" Recordkeeping Challenge By the End of This Decade".
Pursuant to President Obama's memorandum of November 28, 2011, US Archivist David Ferriero issued a historic Directive on Managing Government Records, dated August 24, 2012, calling for all federal agencies to accession permanent records into the National Archives in electronic or digital format by the year 2019. The Directive also requires that all e-mail be preserved in electronic form by the end of 2016. Mr. Baron will discuss the import of the Directive, how it is being implemented to date, and what effect it may have not only on recordkeeping but also on FOI and e-discovery practices in the public sector. Special emphasis will be placed on how the Directive expects RM, Legal and IT communities to work together in achieving the goals.
Registration is now open for attendees. Please follow this link for more information and to register:
