Mike Alsup said "I believe it makes the process and requirements for maintaining certifications easier for both JITC and vendors."

Well, sure. And less expensive as well (it used to cost U.S. $30,000 to go through the certification process).

It also makes the certification MUCH less valuable, as the product drifts away from the version that was certified.
