Mike, thanks for the intro.
I think the most important thing to keep in mind about electronic records is that the discipline of records management doesn't care if a record is paper or electronic -- email, cocktail napkin, Cloud-stored, or carved in stone. The record's value comes from its content, not its medium.
Obviously the techniques for management vary, but the Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles always apply.
One reason I find this field fascinating is the challenge of adapting those principles (which have been evolving for millennia) to emerging technologies.
Hopefully, there will be more time to address your specific questions later.
