I've been on this listserv for many years, but if the current trend to mix political rhetoric, political bias, and political criticism, with some records issues continues, I might just leave the listserv entirely. I know, who cares?, but based on a few comments, I think at least some others share this view.  

Somehow, for years we've been able to talk about records issues in both the public and private sectors without bringing in controversies like gun control, what Bush did, what Obama is doing, etc.

There are now lots of blogs, listserv, and websites where records management issues are still discussed without a side serving of politics.  If you guys can't stay on topic, I'm out of here.

I'm not expecting anyone to particularly care if ONE PERSON leaves the group, but I have to say I, and others like me, don't care to know your political leanings and political beliefs, no matter how you stretch it to somehow include a records issue. Quite frankly, some of the nonsense I've read recently diminishes my respect for some of you. ( Yeah, I know I can hear the "Who cares?" rising to a roar). There is a time and place for political discourse.  This isn't it, at least, it never was before.

That's my opinion, I'm sure you have yours.
