I have to admit that I agree with Larry Medina on this topic.  I would add that I find the listserv less useful than I once did.  I have my own sources for reviewing published articles (including Google alerts and various legal publications).  And I think that outside the government world people are much less willing to discuss their particular challenges due to corporate policies on the release of nonpublic information. I am not sure that there is much than can be done about this ... but there we are.
