A Symposium in Honor of Francis X. Blouin, Bentley Historical Library
Director, 1981-2013 is taking place today and tomorrow on the campus of the
University of Michigan. One of our Research Partners, Maria Esteva, from
the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) will be giving a presentation
entitled, “Anatomy of Big Archives Visualization”. The presentation,
scheduled to take place tomorrow at 9:00 am EDT, will feature the research
that Maria and her TACC colleagues have been doing for NARA to test the
feasibility of using advanced visualization, data mining, and other tools
to manage, preserve, and provide access to very large collections of
electronic records.
