Dear colleagues,

My school, the School of Library and Information Science at Indiana
University, Bloomington, will start a new specialization in information
governance. We called it that to distinguish it from the specialization in
Archives and Records Management, which is really an archives track.

Our admissions officer asked me to help her understand how to describe
records management to a college student. "Need to think about a list of job
titles, and specific organizations that are looking to hire people with this
type of focus. What can I use to help a 20 year old French major think
about this track? What can I use to help an academic advisor in the Biology
Department think about this track?"

What do you suggest?

Best wishes,

Carol
