For those in the process of developing a records taxonomy, I'm interested in understanding how you are approaching the project and the granularity of the data you are collecting.

Recently coming from an established public sector RIM program to a quasi-private sector program in its infancy, I am finding some interesting differences. From my public sector experience, the schedules of records retention and disposition were in many ways synonymous with taxonomy; albeit more detailed from an extensive records inventory and analysis.

Would love to hear how others are approaching it, challenges they are facing, etc.
