What Is Your Organization Accountable For? http://bit.ly/15yEeZn
Any Information Governance program is responsible for managing information
inside the organization, for complying with laws and regulations, as well as
to subpoenas and audit requests. Information Governance is also responsible
for ensuring all information has a life-cycle. This posting is a critique
of some deficiencies in ARMA's <http://bit.ly/12eZOR7> Information
Governance Maturity Model(IGMM) regarding for what the organization-and by
deduction the accountable executive-is accountable. While this post is
critical of the IGMM, it remains the best and most thorough statement of
what Information Governance is and how it should be executed. The
deficiencies noted below are not to be taken as a suggestion to abandon the
GAR Principles or the Levels, just a way of understanding the Levels from a
different perspective.
As always, I really enjoy reading your comments.
Best wishes,
Carol
