Yes, this is addressed to vendors who have customers who may visit their facilities. After an experience at a vendor's facility, I'm moved to suggest the following:

1. Make sure your restrooms are CLEAN... 'nuff said!

2. Inform ALL staff when visitors/customers/clients are expected to be onsite, so they can govern themselves accordingly. While on a recent project at a vendor's facility, I heard parts of conversations (highly agitated complaints about a customer) and witnessed behavior that I am sure wouldn't happened had staff known I was there (I was buried behind boxes in an audit room area). For those who don't know it, whether or not justified, yes, vendors do complain about customers/clients... but as a customer/client, I really don't want to hear your complaints about other customers/clients no matter how justified you feel it is.

3. While I can appreciate sensors, motion detectors, and timers to control lights in areas of your facility that may not be frequently used in order to control utility costs, as a customer, it becomes more than a little annoying when I've got to interrupt my work every few minutes to get up when the lights go out, and move around enough to trip the sensor or motion detector in order to turn them back on. Can these be disabled or turned off while a customer/client is onsite?

Okay, I'm off of my soapbox now... just curious, though, any other thoughts (for vendors) for a better customer/client onsite experience?

Thanks.
Earl
