The question Carol asks below was addressed by the InterPARES 2 research
project in the context of Focus 1-The Arts. If you go to the book that is
available online at http://www.interpares.org/ip2/book.cfm, and look for
Focus 1 in the context of Part One and Part Three, you can read the findings
from the analysis of the case studies. The specific case studies data and
reports are also available. They are accessible from this page
http://www.interpares.org/ip2/ip2_case_studies.cfm.

Happy reading!

NYTimes: When Artworks Crash: Restorers Face Digital Test

When the Whitney Museum of American Art decided to resurrect an early
interactive Internet piece, the programming code no longer worked. But would
updated software change the artwork?
