Records Manager - location in DC, NYC or Boston

The Records Manager role is a firm wide position to be located in the Firm's DC, NYC or Boston offices. Qualified candidates should please reply with a Word version format of their resumes and salary requirements with the subject heading "Records Manager".

The Records Manager is responsible for the management of Central Records including the management of Central Records personnel, the integration of records for lateral hires, the transfer of client/matter records, records retention and compliance with records standards. This manager is an integral part of the Records Management team and works closely with the Records Operations Manager. Duties include the development, implementation and management of systems and procedures for the integration of records for lateral hires, the transfer of client/matter records to clients or outside counsel, and records retention; development, implementation, and management of systems and procedures for assuring compliance with standardized file titles; management of Central Records staff including hiring, training, evaluation, counseling and termination, as necessary; and collaborate with IT to address records information management requirements for the records lifecycle.

Candidates must also be proficient in SQL programming and Windows technology. Experience with one or more RIM enterprise technology solutions used for the management of both physical and electronic information (e.g. Autonomy IRM, ARM, FileSurf, LegalKey) is preferred. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree preferably in IT, Library Science, Records or associated discipline as well as 3+ years' experience working in a managerial position.
