I must be in a cynical mood this morning, but why is Governance/security
and protection of records big news?  This has always been one of the key
pillars of a Records and Information Management program.  The real news
is why it is not being implemented and maintained?  Is there no
monitoring?  Is it impossible to protect electronic records from hackers?
Is the cost of protection higher than the cost savings of electronic
records versus paper records?  We need to look at the real problem if this
is going to be resolved.
