Thanks everyone for your valuable insights, experiences, and opinions.
Your discussion in response to my post has been really helpful and
appreciated.
I do wish to point out that in my original post I do not suggest
eliminating the trigger, but rather defining it in the records series
entry so as to eliminate the "ACT" from the retention code itself to make
it simply a number.
So it would seem that we are all in "violent agreement."
