This is nothing 'new' but the list is pretty exhaustive... many retail and
financial services firms, medical practices and others, including school
districts.

Here's the link to a list of all data breaches in CA since Jan 2012:

This was pretty startling though, since Jan 2012 (18 months), 31 breaches
have occurred related to this firm IN CA ALONE... American Express Travel
Related Services Company, Inc and /or its Affiliates (“AXP”)

So one would have to assume that the firm has had similar instances in
other locations where they do business... but it's gone unchecked??  And
some of these occurrences date back as far as Nov. 2010.
