Dear colleagues,

Our municipality is sending some permanent records to an offsite storage. They strongly advised us to get insurance for the records. I am wondering - what amount we should aim at? I am hesitant about asking the insurance company, they will probably advise me the highest rate, so I thought I'd ask you. Anybody has been dealing with that sort of thing? We are not talking vital records, just regular stuff that requires permanent retention by our bylaw, and for which we don't have room.

I'd appreciate your thoughts, thank you!
