Thank you for your response.

Repurposed records are records that met their retention for their original purpose but then they have continued use for another purpose.  An example off the top of my head might be meteorological monitoring records that normally have a 10 year retention.  At the end of the 10 years, if it was determined that those records are needed for a research project that has a 75 year retention, then the meteorological monitoring records would be rescheduled to the schedule for research projects.  Those records would be considered to be repurposed for us.
