In today's El Paso Times

officials to who inadvertently send or receive emails or texts dealing with
city business on their personal accounts to forward them to their city
accounts or devices. But under the same resolution, city attorneys maintain
that they cannot access information created or stored on personal equipment
not owned or controlled by the city, which a new state law says is also
public information if it relates to city business. "This is our attempt to
close the gap," City Attorney Sylvia Borunda Firth said about the
resolution that will go to the City Council for approval on Tuesday. <snip>
