The California Historical Records Advisory Board is offering a free,
one-day workshop on Digital Imaging for Historical Records on Friday,
September 20, 2013 at the Riverside County Assessor, Clerk, Recorder's
Office, Box Springs Training Room, 6221 Box Springs Blvd., Riverside, CA
92507 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Taught by an experienced instructor,
this basic workshop will provide information about:
* Key concepts and terms
* Program planning
* Document profile attributes
* Document preparation
* Standards and best practices
* Selecting imaging hardware and software
* Imaging workflow
* Working with vendors
* Scanning textual documents, photographs, maps and drawings,
and bound volumes
* Providing access to digital images
