Expertise trumps location. I find that Shook Hardy & Bacon have a very strong records interest and expertise but most of it is located in their San Francisco Office. But since they represent Coke in Atlanta, you might want to research it.

Good afternoon,
We are looking for recommendations for a law firm (either in the Atlanta area or have a presence here) that understands records management issues, and can help us continue to develop our RM program (i.e. retention schedules, email, electronic records, critical records, etc.). We're looking for firms that understand, and are experienced in the energy/oil & gas/pipeline industries, and also have practical knowledge, and hands-on understanding of associated regulatory requirements for recordkeeping in this arena, including PHMSA, 49CFR Part 195, etc. It'd be a huge plus if they also understood environmental issues, industry trends, and could relay what those issues/trends could mean to a RIM program in our industry.
We had a great, experienced attorney/consultant who, unfortunately for us--but good for him, has moved on to other things. Any recommendations?
