I recommend a search of the listserv archives for topics on RIM Month (or RIMM or RIM Week) activities. It used to be that ARMA promoted a RIM Week in which professionals promoted their departments and the profession. It later became the RIM Month, aka RIMM (Records and Information Management Month). There were some amazing and creative ideas. I am sure that you can find ready-made materials and ideas for your purposes.
