This internship allows a current library and information management student
to apply her/his skills in support of the UN’s Peace Operations around the
globe. The selected candidate will play a key role in expanding the
organization’s Policy and Best Practices Database to further strengthen the
platform’s contribution in providing actionable knowledge on UN activities
in the field of peace and security.

UN Secretariat internships are for a minimum two months with an opportunity
for an extension, depending on the needs of the Department. This position
is located in the Guidance and Learning Unit/Policy and Mediation Division
of the Department of Political Affairs. The internship is UNPAID and
full-time, starting in the first week of October 2013. Interns work five
days per week (35 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the
office to which they are assigned.
