Hi Glen "Doom & Gloom" Sanderson,

I would agree with you that Records needs to do some soul searching as a
profession but the need for it is greater now more than ever before.
Therefore, the need for human capital devoted to the industry is likely to
GROW and not contract in the years to come. Records professionals will need
to "speak IT" and also have a high degree of comfort around data
management. I am a firm believer that EVERY Records professional should
have advanced mastery of at least one programming skill (SQL, .NET, etc).
Paper is not going anywhere and the volumes of electronic files will only
grow albeit on an increasingly wider variety of content types and platforms.

So cheer up Glen and all of those who are riding in to the sunset- Records
Management is here to stay!

Happy Monday All!
