5. Can lead to fines and or worse by providing prosecutors with evidence that your company did something wrong. When you legally could have destroyed the evidence. 
(Real Story from one of my clients) 
Resulted in $$ millions in fines. 
. . . And what business doesn't break a law or ten at some point - knowingly or unknowingly.
