Hello listserv members,

I searched the listserv archives and performed a general Google search, but
I didn't find very much on the topic of deletion of files on network
drives. Are there organizations that systematically delete files on their
network drives? Or those that have performed a cleanup of ROT files prior
to a migration? What tools did you use and what controls did you have in
place to ensure that files were *really *deleted and to produce a listing
of deleted files or audit trail? What kind of deletion approval process did
you have? Did you develop your own script/program to perform the deletion
or did you find tools that sufficiently met your requirements?

Thank you very much for your feedback!
