I have found, as Larry said, that email management 'systems' are merely
digital haystacks but that is one step toward the goal of preservation,
identification and production for legal hold needs. The haystack locks down
the email, preventing destruction and providing the repository for other
tools to act on, and then a second tool searches the haystack, annotates
results, exports results. There are many good products out there like
Access suite, Sherpa Discovery Attender etc.
