Aloha Listserv Friends & Colleagues,
For those of you who receive subpoenas for records or work for financial institutions that do, I would appreciate your input on the following...
We would like to know how other financial institutions are handling the receipt of Federal Grand Jury Subpoenas served on them:
1) Does your institution insist or prefer "personal service" of subpoenas?
2) Does your institution accept electronic "service" of a subpoena via email with a pdf or electronic file attachment?
3) Does your institution accept subpoenas via FedEx other courier services (e.g UPS)
4) Does your institution accept subpoenas via regular mail?
5) Does your institution reject any subpoena unless personally served?
With changes in the financial industry and greater acceptance of electronic forms/signature, your input will be helpful to understand how institutions are handling the service/acceptance of subpoenas for records.
Please send your responses directly to me ([log in to unmask]).
Mahalo,
Brian
