Given that a) Records Managers do a lot of different tasks and need a lot of 
different skills, and b) Records Managers' duties can differ significantly 
between one company and another, and c) the range of valid opinions given in 
posts so far:  I believe that the Records Manager is the classic Heinz 57 - a 
little bit of a lot of breeds.  That may also be why we don't get as much 
recognition as we ought to.
