One of my concerns with the choice of venues is that they be easy to get to (availability of non-stop flights), as well as low-cost air fares.

While I enjoy San Antonio as a destination, it is neither easy nor inexpensive to get to, at least not from New York City. Worst of all, most flights to San Antonio are American Airlines flights--and my recent experience with that airline leads me to choose almost any other alternative (crop dusters?).
