My first conference was in Cincinnati in 1999.  I came back with just one piece of information that made major changes in our business.   It wasn't something that was part of an education session but something I picked up during lunch, talking to fellow attendees.    Since then, the only times I have not been able to attend conference is when travel has been restricted for the whole company, worldwide.
