Subject: Records Coordinators

Good day all,
I am currently looking at our Records Coordinator ratio to employees for a possible solution to our overall turnover issue among this group. I have a few questions I would like to ask the group.

1. Does your company use Records Coordinators, if yes do they handle electronic as well as physical? Yes, but they are employees that work in other departments that volunteered to be RIM coordinators. For the most part, they are responsible for sending paper records offsite but also are supposed to be helping their departments with organizing their electronic records.

2. What is the ratio of Records Coordinators to personnel (include all employees and contractors)? We currently have 1200 employees and 14 Records Coordinators and 1 Corp. Records Manager, myself.

3. Is your Records Coordinator position full-time or part-time? Ours are all full-time employees but only spend a few hours a month on RIM

4. Would you consider you're Information Governance (IG) or RIM program to be centralized or de-centralized? Both

5. What other information professionals do you use within your companies organizations (i.e. Compliance Coordinator, Data Coordinators)? Content Managers, Knowledge Management, and Information Assurance Professionals will be implemented soon.

6. Who manages the Records Coordinators (i.e. organizational supervisor, Information Governance, IT, etc...)? Their department managers manage them but our Information Assurance team will be coordinating RIM/KM duties, communications, and training for them.

Any information you can supply concerning Records Coordinator or similar role would be very helpful and appreciated.
Thank you for your time,
Candie Hainline
