Private business seeks to store Rome’s archived records - Utica, NY - The
Observer-Dispatch, Utica, New York
ROME —

Joyce Finnegan said her company could store Rome’s archived records at
basically no cost to the city.

The mayor, however, said record retention is not something that can be
easily transitioned to the private sector.

“We’ve got some very, very old records,” Mayor Joseph Fusco said. “The idea
of putting them into a private-sector building doesn’t sit well with my
record retention clerk.”
