Hello list, from a new subscriber! My name is Alex Toner and I'm the records manager for the Office of the University Registrar at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to starting here (three months ago) I worked as NHPRC project archivist at the Senator John Heinz History Center, located in Pittsburgh's Strip District. Originally from North Western Pennsylvania, I earned my MLIS from Pitt in 2011, and after reading all the responses to last Friday's "ponderings," realize I'm a true rookie amongst seasoned vets!

The first question I'll pose to the group is this: Does anyone have suggestions as to professional organizations that would benefit someone such as myself who works with student academic records? Other than the obvious names such as ARMA, AIIM, SAA, ACCRAO, etc...
