RIVERSIDE COUNTY: Email to be retained for 90 days, not 45

Riverside County employees will have to hang onto their emails for twice as
long as they used do.

The county Board of Supervisors on Nov. 5 changed the county’s email
retention policy to require emails to be kept for 90 days before they are
deleted. Before, emails had to be kept for just 45 days.

Supervisors Kevin Jeffries and Jeff Stone offered the change in a move to
increase government transparency.
