First I wanted to take the time to thank those that entered this contest (this was very close in scoring with only .5 separating. It was interesting seeing the answers and I am fairly certain there will be some personal views on the answers. As for the answers I had to stick with the sources I used. While I did more research to determine the most correct answer I decided to stick with the original answers.
Winner will be notified so they will be sent a valuable prize.
Two new terms I learned while going through the answers- Ballonicle and Falloon

2-What city does America eat the weight of the population of in turkey (the bird not the country)? Singapore
3-What popular item was developed due to tons of leftover turkey? TV Dinners
4-What was the first meal in Space? Turkey dinner
5-How many days did the first thanksgiving last? Three
6-What was the name of the first turkey pardoned and who pardoned it? Jack -Abraham Lincoln this question had some really good answers and I learned something from each of them.
7-What utensil was missing from the first thanksgiving? Spork, I mean Fork
8-What country did we(the US) steal the idea of Thanksgiving from? Canada
9-What Author was largely responsible for the establishment of the national holiday? How long did they campaign for and what are they known for authoring? Sara Joseph Hale - 17 years
10-What president wanted to change the date of Thanksgiving and why? FDR stimulate the economy
11-what state celebrated two days for Thanksgiving? (the original question was worded different a result of input between brain, fingers and keyboard so I disqualified this question). Had it been worded correctly the answer would have been Texas
12-Everything known about the "first" thanksgiving comes from what? A letter from Edward Winslow
13-What state raises the most turkeys? -This was debatable, my source said North Carolina other sources Minnesota
14-What are baby turkeys called? Poults
15-What were the first three balloon animals in the Macy's day parade? When was the first Macy's day parade? Felix the cat, dragon and elephant
