Thanks everyone. So to summarize your excellent answers, reasons to apply
Vital Records designation to electronic records include (but are not
limited to) :
1. Prioritization of restoration/access after the event.
2. Prioritization of restoration/access during the event.
3. Selecting storage systems, types, & media.
4. Selecting protection systems.
5. Compliance with regulators.
Those are some pretty good reasons. If anyone has any additional, we'd be
glad to add them to the list.
