Have to agree with Bob (Dalton). Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia are tough to beat. I'm a Washington native. I'm not as well travelled as Bob, but I've been in most of the states in the US. I do like Colorado - similar to Washington but without the salt water.

I live near Tacoma, WA in a little community called University Place. There's a golf course here called Chambers Bay. We're hosting the US Open here in 2015. Pretty cool!
