I heard a story on Al Jazeera last night about predictive policing software that is being successfully used by police in Seattle WA and Santa Cruz CA. It uses past crime statistics to anticipate where future crimes are likely to occur. It got me wondering how far we are from software that could anticipate custodians and where custodians are likely to hold relevant data based on a company's prior experience in similar types of litigation.

You can see the Al Jazeera story here.
