Vernon County GIS Director Tim Bourassa is a one-man team managing the
project. According to him, virtualization creates a copy of a computer's
inner workings, including programs and operating system. That makes it easy
to access items and software from any location, which is helpful in case of
emergency. Copies of the computer's software can be moved to another
computer if the equipment were to malfunction or be destroyed.
