Peter,

I am talking about the actual physical destruction of the tape (they are currently rotated now but eventually are destroyed). I have a meeting today with our IS person responsible for this - I can almost guarantee there is no policy in place - maybe a procedure but not a policy.

Just trying to determine if I should have the series added to the record retention schedule - I never thought they belonged there before but if there is no current policy in place I think they should be listed somewhere.

And, if there is a destruction certificate - it should be listed as well.

I appreciate everyone's feedback.

Jeanne
