This a "butt against the wall" type of question...

I've always felt that I'm paid to manage, whether it's records, people, or assets...I'm always willing to "defer" to a higher authority as long as my "point of view" is heard.  If I'm not able to convince my boss of my recommendation, then we march forward...right or wrong.  That being said, we often find ourselves in a "renovation" or repair mode, as we can't always be "perfect" in our decision-making.  And hey, that's why we get paid the "big bucks"...to make those hard decisions.
