Information Governance is a Journey | Word of Pie I’ve been talking a lot about Information Governance <https://wordofpie.com/2014/03/28/making-information-governance-pay/> of late. The reason I’ve been doing it is because if it simply becomes a term used in place of Records Management we will have wasted an opportunity. Information Governance is different. It *needs* to be different. Records Management failed <http://wordofpie.com/2013/06/03/information-management-has-failed/>. We need a new approach. Information Governance has the potential to be that new approach, if <http://wordofpie.com/2014/04/17/content-management-step-one-capture-that-information/> we <http://wordofpie.com/2014/04/22/content-management-step-2-organize-that-information/> tackle <http://wordofpie.com/2014/04/29/content-management-step-3-control-that-information/> it <http://wordofpie.com/2014/05/08/content-management-step-4-protect-that-information/> correctly <http://wordofpie.com/2014/05/13/content-management-step-5-dispose-of-that-information/>. If we get lazy, we will be fighting the same battles for *another* decade. http://bit.ly/SHCFDF Source: http://wordofpie.com/2014/06/09/information-governance-is-a-journey/ See if people are clicking on this link: http://bit.ly/SHCFDF+ Try the bitly.com sidebar to see who is talking about a page on the web: https://bitly.com/pages/sidebar List archives at http://lists.ufl.edu/archives/recmgmt-l.html Contact [log in to unmask] for assistance To unsubscribe from this list, click the below link.
